Motorway Motels:

Motorway Motels Hotels are generally grouped in four main categories: commercial or transient hotels; resort hotels; residential hotels; and motels, or motor hotels. In the United States about 75% of the hotel rooms (excluding motels) are in commercial hotels, 16% in resort hotels (both summer and winter seasons), and the remaining 9% in residential hotels. About 80% of the American motel rooms are in commercial establishments and the remainder in resort motels.

Preferential salesperson rates are often extended to traveling ales representatives during the off-season, especially at motor hotels ind motels.

Relatively large areas of country on which man has had little or no impact remain but the landscape in developed countries has become more and more formalized. With world population soaring to some 4,000 million in 1975, cities continue togrowat the expense of the countryside. New roads sweep through previously impassable territory [Key], while in Europe and America extensive motorway motels systems devour the land. Airports take agricultural land and ubiquitous electricity pylons stride over hills and valleys.
