Milan Hostels: If your budget bids you look for drastically low-priced lodgings you may heed its wishes without apprehension. In almost any city you may shop around and find a plain but clean room for as little as a dollar; and in Youth Hostels (a booklet about them is to be had; check with American Youth Hostels, 6 East 39th St., New York) a bed is to be had, as I have been told, for 50 pfennigs, which is—12 cents! There are about 660 hostels in Germany.Bicycles come into their multitudinous own in level Denmark and they can help you to reduce economy touring to its lowest practicable limits, if that is what your budget bids. You may rent one for about $2 a week and if you are a hosteler, through membership in American Youth Hostels you may use the many Danish hostels whenever you like.
When this program has been completed it will have given a fine fillip to cycling, but already more than 50 hostels, with about 2500 dormitory bunks, are open.
