Hostel Aberdeen:

Hostel Aberdeen Youth hostel aberdeens, in the country, will give you a bed for 30 to 40 cents and meals for about the same price apiece; which leads me to mention a youth hostel aberdeen ship, named Chapman, moored in Stockholm at the quay of Skeppsholmen Island, opposite the Old City. It is open to all members of the International Youth hostel aberdeen Federation and also to anyone who can show the special identification card issued by the Swedish Touring Club at a low price. Meals are taken at a snack bar in the ship.

The accompanying Table lists the 33 counties of Scotland with their areas, populations, and administrative headquarters. The figures for Aberdeen include that part of Aberdeen City, a county of a city, lying within Aberdeen County (part of the city is in Kincardine County) ; the figures for three other counties include those of a county of a city as follows: Angus (Dundee) ; Lanark (Glasgow) ; Midlothian (Edinburgh). Where administrative headquarters differ from county towns, the latter are shown in footnotes.

Aberdeen-Angus cattle are well liked by cattlemen because they mature early and bring top prices. The cows produce adequate milk to support a calf. Because of their black skin pigment, they show a marked resistance to eye troubles that plague many beef cattle. Mature cows may weigh as much as 1,600 pounds (725 kg) and bulls as much as 2,000 pounds (900 kg). Originating in the northeastern part of Scotland, Aberdeen-Angus cattle descended from two polled strains known as Angus doddies and Buchan humlies. Crossing and recrossing of these strains with selection for beef production eventually led to the Aberdeen-Angus breed.
