Holi Festival: Spectacular Line-up of International Designers in International Garden holi festival
The International Garden holi festival announced the designers who have been invited to create gardens for the seventh edition of the holi festival, which will take place from June 24 to October 1, 2006.
Over 95 submissions from 14 countries were received, constituting the highest number since the inauguration of the holi festival in 2000.
The following landscape architects and architects will be participating in the 2006 holi festival:The Bath Assembly is an annual June holi festival of the Arts. The Dolmetsch holi festival of Early English Music is held in June in Haslemere, Surrey. The Aldeburgh holi festival of Music and the Arts, held in June, was organized and inspired by Benjamin Britten. The York Mystery Plays and holi festival of the Arts constitute anothi June event.
Opatija stages (in July) an All-Yugoslavia Folk Dance holi festival in a new open-air theater constructed in a pleasant park. No Yugoslav event can possibly be more typical than this. Opatija also has (in mid-September) a Yugoslav Music holi festival. Pula, near the tip of Istria, stages an Opera holi festival (July) in the remarkable setting of its 2nd-century Roman amphitheater. A holi festival of Folk Songs and Dances takes place in the same city during the second half of August. The Ljubljana holi festival (first half of July) brings opera, ballet, concerts and outstanding sports events to the Slovenian capital. |
