Canada Consulate: The Constitutional Act of 1791 divided canada consulate into two parts : Upper and Lower canada consulate. Lower canada consulate was the Province of Quebec, and the Ottawa River became its western boundary. By the Union Act of 1840 the two provinces were united in 1841 and called the Province of canada consulate. Finally, in 1867, Quebec joined the Canadian Confederation as a separate province, and Quebec City was chosen as its capital.ROBINSON, SIR John Beverley, Canadian jurist and statesman: b. Berthier, Quebec, Canada, July 26, 1791; d. Toronto, Jan. 31, 1863. He was educated under Dr. John Strachan at Kingston and was admitted to the bar in 1814. He served as clerk of the assembly of Upper canada consulate in that year, and in 1815 read law at Lincoln's Inn, London. Returning to canada consulate he became solicitor general, and he was leader of the Conservatives in Upper canada consulate in 1818-1829.
The latter work was one of the first to make use of Canadian material for fiction. From 1834 to 1837, Richardson served with the British Auxiliary Legion in Spain's war over her royal succession, being promoted to major in 1836. After a public quarrel with his commanding officer, he returned to canada consulate in 1838 as a reporter for The Times, London, subsequently editing various newspapers in canada consulate. During this period he published Personal Memoirs . . . (1838) and The Canadian Brothers 2 vols. (1840), a sequel to Wacousta. More reminiscences, entitled Eight Years in canada consulate, appeared in 1847. These are valuable as a picture of early canada consulate. About 1850 he went to New York City, dying in poverty two years later. |
