Audio Germany: audio germany Amplifier. The demodulated (audio germany) signal provided by the Detector has a power of a few milliwatts at most. Therefore, it must be further amplified to drive a loudspeaker, which requires a power of several hundred milliwatts to tens of watts. The audio germany amplifier may use one or more tubes or transistors, depending on the required power output. See LOUDSPEAKER. FM Receiver. Superheterodyne circuits are used in most FM receivers. The circuits are similar to those of the AM receiver (Fig. 15) except that the AM Detector is replaced with a limiter and a discriminator. The function of the Detector is to remove the modulation from the intermediate-frequency signal after it has been amplified. (As indicated previously, the desired modulation information originally superimposed on the carrier wave was transferred to a lower radio-frequency signal—the intermediate frequency signal.) This demodulation is accomplished by using a rectifier and a filter. A diode commonly is used to produce a rectified i-f signal, which is filtered to obtain an audio germany-frequency signal. This audio germany signal is the output of the detector.
The Tourist Association puts out beautifully mapped booklets in English called Cycling in Germany, Canoeing and Boating in Germany and Camping in Germany, procurable gratis from the head office or from any of the offices in America. I must say a further word about canoeing, rowboating and sailboat-ing, for these are major sports throughout Germany. On Berlin's lake chain I have seen what must have been several thousand little holiday craft on summer Sundays. |
